Hi my name is Lorin.... I go by Leslie because......... because......... well! I'm just going to say it! I'm a freebie addict and I'm not ashamed to admit it anymore. I lose sleep because of it. I can't concentrate because its all I think about. My computer sometimes starts to overheat because I'm on it so long. I think I've scoured 10% of the internet. I keep the curtain pulled back so I can see the mail truck come and I can barely keep myself from running to the mailbox in glee. I practically cry if nothing comes in a day. I started my own freebie site so that I could help others like me. I think I need help.

I'm from S. California. We've had a miserable year...lost everything we had in retirement in the stock market and now own two houses which we almost owe more than they are worth! We thought we were in good shape a year ago. We owned two homes, had a $250,000.00 stock portfolio, NO CREDIT CARD DEBT, paid cash for both our cars...you know, we thought we were doing all the "right stuff." My husband and I were early retired (I'm 55) but now things are not at all what we planned.

Well, now we have days where we are scraping up money for food. Neither of my sons are working (they are early 30's) so we're supporting them and their families...my niece and nephew are living with us because of my sister's drug problems (they are 14 and 12) and literally we're living from day to day.

Anyway, that's what brought me to this site! I've never really used coupons much although I am the queen of make up samples - I'm addicted to them! Of course usually they were gift with purchase or from Sephora so I can't afford that kind of thing now. Hopefully I'll find some fun things and learn lots! Thanks to those who have welcomed me. I'm not too familiar with message boards either so I'm learning as I go.

I'm 55, my husband is 47, we've been married 11 years - together for 14, we have four dogs (and the darn things want to eat, can you imagine! LOL ) I did stand up comedy before I met my husband and until recently worked with corporate exec's / celebrities and chartered private jets for a living. Even the wealthy are not flying privately anymore so my business is about dead.... that's my story!

Anyway, things happen for a reason and there seem to be some lovely people here I maybe never would have "met" if my situation was different!
